Como mujeres, se nos enseña desde pequeñas que es nuestra labor mantenernos a salvo. Tomar las precauciones adecuadas. Caperucita no lo hace, y dependiendo de la versión del cuento que leamos es devorada por el lobo, o salvada por el leñador. Nunca se defiende. Es incapaz. Vulnerable. Frágil. Este es el relato que nos han contado. If you leave home, be careful because the wolf can eat you. As women, we are taught from childhood that it's our job to keep us safe. Take proper precautions. Red Riding Hood does not, and depending on the version of the story we read, she's either eaten by the wolf, or saved by the lumberjack. She never defends herself. She's unable. Vulnerable. Fragile. This is the story we're told. And it's difficult to get rid of it.
